The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. This colourful, funny, romantic and a little bit wicked Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been delighting audiences since 1957.
It follows charismatic con man Harold Hill, who, posing as a music professor persuades townspeople of Little River City Iowa, to invest money toward a marching band for the local lads under the guise of preventing moral turpitude. His wicked intention is to abscond with the money but things get complicated when he crosses paths with Miss Paroo the town librarian. Will he get away with it? Come and join the toe tapping fun and find out.
Presented by the students of St Brendan's and St Ursula’s Colleges this is a show where the melodies will melt away any gloom.
Every year St Brendan's College joins with sister school St Ursula's College to stage this musical extravaganza, providing students the opportunity to audition, rehearse, play and perform to the College and wider community.
