The 2021 Gold Coast Rugby League Tour was a successful event with our boys representing St Brendan’s College in an exceptional manner.

The boys started the tour at Wavell State High in Brisbane and played against a formidable opposition losing the game 8-4. Banjo Walker scored the try for SBC with standout players including Jett Day, Riley Waia-Dau and man of the match Isaiah Waters.

Then it was off to the Gold Coast to play St Michaels College with Jett Day being named man of the match in a one-sided game to SBC. Unfortunately, due to extreme weather, the game against Keebra Park High School was cancelled.

During the tour, the boys went behind the scenes at the Gold Coast Titans where they toured the facility and got to see what life as an NRL player looks like. After the tour, the boys were lucky enough to meet and spend time with some of their favourite NRL players before watching them play in an NRL trial against the Burleigh Bears.

Team bonding was enjoyed with outings to Wet & Wild Waterpark and Coolangatta before returning home.

They will now turn their focus to preparing for the Cowboys Challenge competition commencing in Term 2.
