On Wednesday 5 August, St Brendan’s College students were honoured for their academic performance during this year’s Semester One reporting period.
Students stepped up to the challenge Principal Robert Corboy set at the last Assembly and have shown an increase of 21.7% in performance with a great effort being shown by the Year 7 students receiving an incredible 84 awards, 31 of whom were in the Academic A+ category.
This category celebrates those who have excelled with either 4 A’s or better and nothing less than a ‘C’ in any other subject or 3 A’s and nothing less than a B. So, a stellar effort by all especially in their first year of high school.
Mr Corboy, while praising everyone’s efforts, highlighted the Year 7 boys for rising to the occasion and championing their fellow brothers to meet the set target with such a solid effort in their first year. The challenge now is to hold those grades!
All students have shown outstanding commitment to their studies especially with the challenges of home learning and interruption to routine.
Once again congratulations to all the 330 recipients, keep up the great work.
The Academic Awards Assembly is available for viewing on the St Brendan’s College YouTube channel for those who missed it - Watch it here now.
