The St Brendan's College Central Isuzu Rodeo is a significant event on the annual calendar, with the event running for its 24th year in 2019. To support our students with a passion for rodeo, our program will run over two days with the SBC Boys' Rodeo and the Trans Tasman High School Rodeo Challenge on Friday 30 August, followed by the APRA affiliated 2019 Central Isuzu Rodeo on Saturday 31 August 2019.
Please download the 2019 event flyer below. The flyer includes a list of our generous event sponsors - we encourage you to support those sponsors who support our College.
We thank our SBC family and the Capricorn Coast and Queensland community for their significant support of this event. While belt buckles and cowboy hats might seem out of place at the beach, St Brendan’s College strong rural history was the impetus for the event’s commencement, offering a chance for rural students to hone their bull riding skills and for regional families to make a family weekend visit for all the rodeo action.
The event is organised primarily by the College Parents & Friends Association as their major fundraiser for the year. Proceeds from the event are used to purchase equipment and support upgrades to facilities at the College. We urge parents and friends of the College to get involved and volunteer at the event to ensure it continues as the successful event it always has been. Volunteers are required over the two days and we ask parents to kindly complete the attached form and nominate your availability as soon as possible.
