100 BATON RELAY COMES TO SBC

The R100 Baton Relay is a wonderful event celebrating the National Centenary of Rotary, that is 100 years of Rotary in Australia bringing communities together through service, goodwill, and friendship.

It aims to connect all Rotary Clubs across Australia and NZ with their communities, representing the road we travel, our diversity and inclusion, our energy – lighting up our communities with Service above Self.

Involving members from all Services, Sporting Bodies and General Public all 46 clubs in the District of 9570 are participating with 3 Batons covering from the west in Longreach – the north in Mackay and south from Hervey Bay.

Rotarians, local personalities, Councillors, community leaders, community groups and everyday people are carrying the baton of service and passing it forward. Today 25 February the baton relayed through SBC and our Interact students on its way to its final Gladstone destination deadline of 30 April.

We salute Rotary and our Interact student for the incredible work and contribution they make to the community.
