St Brendan’s College honours outstanding achievements at the 2025 Awards Night

On 22 October 2025, St Brendan’s College hosted its Annual Awards Night, bringing together students, staff, families, and community members to recognise the outstanding achievements of over 380 students. The event celebrated student excellence across academics, music, and the arts, as well as contributions through service and leadership, embodying the values of the College’s Edmund Rice tradition.
With a record attendance of more than 500 parents, students, staff, dignitaries and families gathered in the CPAC gardens before the formal ceremony to enjoy pre-event refreshments and share in the excitement of the evening.
Academic Dux awards were presented to top scholars across each year level:
- Year 7: Flynn McFarlane
- Year 8: Lawson Sedgman
- Year 9: Vincent Thompson
- Year 10: Charlie Green
- Year 11: Zac Whitehead, who has achieved Dux every year since joining the College in Year 7
The College Dux will be announced at the College’s first assembly in 2026 after ATAR results are finalised.
- College DUX Nominees: Matthew Bezuidenhout, Tate Caffery, Killian Finall, Samuel Janes, Connor Lees, Haylen Luckel-Dent, Jesse McWhinney, Nate Muller, Toby Simpkins, Hayden Thornton and TJ Van der Waalt
Vocational Education and Training (VET) achievements were also highlighted, with the VET Student of the Year awards going to:
- Year 12: Nate Brooks, who also achieved Year 11 VET Student in 2024
- Year 11: Kobe Oberhardt
Nominees for the VET Student of the Year exemplified the dedication of St Brendan’s students to practical learning pathways:
- Year 12 Nominees: Max Armstrong, Nate Brooks, Deegan Crook, Cameron Da Forno, Hunter Hall, Nicholas Meyer, Jake Murphy, Caylan O’Dell, Cooper Pierce, Jackson Schuh and Steven Wickerson
- Year 11 Nominees: Cayden Hoare, Wyatt McDonald, Kober Oberhardt, Clayne Tarry, John Mulville, Ty Gretton, Oliver King, Reid Weinert, Mason Hollingsworth, Daley Smith, Scott Gibson, Tate McQuarrie
