Day Students

A College Bus service operated by Keppel Coaches is available for day students.

• Services run daily across key routes: Scenic Highway, Emu Park, Northern Run Rockhampton, Southern Run Rockhampton, and Tanby Point.

Boarding

The College operates boarding bus services to regional areas with end locations to Springsure, Emerald, Longreach, Clermont, Middlemount, Biloela, Calliope and Roma.

• These services run during term breaks but do not operate at the start or end of the school year.

First day information

Date: Tuesday 27 January 2026

Time: Arrive from 8.15am for Year 7 Assembly (at H Block) at 8:40am

The first day is a full school day, with  the day concluding at 2:57pm. 

• Wear sports uniform with house shirt
• Bring only: water bottle, hat, and lunch

Day two - students must ensure they are dressed in:

• Academic College uniform, including polished black shoes, socks, and belt
• College hat, which must be worn when outdoors
• Hair and grooming must meet College standards
• No jewellery, except for approved items as outlined in the College uniform policy
• Ties are part of the 'winter' uniform and are only worn in Terms 2 and 3.

NB:  On certain days, such as academic assemblies, special presentations, and Mass, students are required to wear the formal College uniform. This includes the College tie and long formal trousers.

Please refer to the College’s Student Uniform and Personal Grooming Policy for full details to ensure students are dressed appropriately from Day 1.

Student arrival expectations

To support student independence and a smooth start to the school year, we kindly request that parents refrain from walking students onto the College grounds.

Students should proceed directly to H Block upon arrival. At 8:40am, when the bell rings, the Head of Year will meet students in the assembly area, located at the external concrete forecourt.

If students are unsure of where to go, staff will be present at H Block to assist. Supervision staff are easily identifiable by their yellow high-visibility vests.

Where do I drop off?

Due to ongoing construction at the College, Stop, Drop & Go access is temporarily via Gate 1.

This area operates as one-way during peak times:

• Morning: 7:45am – 8:45am
• Afternoon: 2:30pm – 3:30pm

For student safety, please avoid using Adelaide Park Road for drop-off or pick-up. This is a public road and can become congested during peak times. We recommend using designated College entry points for safer access.

Gate 3 (behind Manual Arts) is not to be accessed for drop-off or pick-up.

BACK TO SCHOOL - ALL STUDENTS

☐ Check and update your student’s record in Parent Lounge - address changes/ personal circumstances/ Medical conditions or medications/media permissions. Note: Some updates can be made directly in Parent Lounge. Others must be emailed to the Enrolments Officer.

☐ Update Media Permissions - All students: must be completed annually. New Families: Once Parent Lounge login details are provided, please log in and update your child’s media permissions - INSTRUCTIONS 

☐ Label all belongings (uniforms, stationery, devices)

☐ Ensure school fees/payment plans are arranged

☐ Update student year level in Flexischools (for tuckshop orders)
