Senior Formal 2026

News Saturday, 09 May 2026

The 2026 St Brendan’s College Senior Formal was a memorable evening, bringing together over 580 guests to celebrate an important milestone in the journey of our senior students. The event was held on Saturday, 9 May.

With the College Hall transformed under a canopy of lights, colour, and carefully considered detail, this year’s “Circus” theme created a vibrant and welcoming environment for students and their families to gather and celebrate.

A cherished highlight of the evening, the Gypsy Tap was proudly rehearsed by our Senior students—first with their partners and later shared in a special moment with their mothers—celebrating connection, tradition and the significance of the Formal.

As reiterated by Executive Principal Mr Robert Corboy, many families arrive having heard about the Senior Formal from those who have attended in previous years. However, almost without exception, they leave genuinely amazed once they experience the scale, detail, and atmosphere of the evening for themselves.

A defining feature of the St Brendan’s College Senior Formal is that it is delivered entirely in-house. From concept and planning through to installation, styling, and pack-down, every element is coordinated by College staff. Catering is also prepared onsite, with our Year 11 students and their families playing a vital role in service on the night.

This year’s Formal was a wonderful example of our College “village” coming together to create something truly special for our boys. Throughout the evening, it was evident that success was not about individual contribution, but about people stepping in wherever and whenever needed.

The Senior Formal continues to stand as one of the College’s most significant events, not only as a celebration for our students, but as a powerful example of what sets St Brendan’s College apart. It is both a community-building experience and a showcase of the talent, dedication and pride within our College.

A true whole-of-College effort — from installation and styling to catering and service, the evening was delivered entirely in-house. Thank you to our Year 11 students and families for their continued support in making the event such a success.

We extend our sincere thanks to all staff, students, and families who contributed to the success of the evening. In particular, we acknowledge the organisation, attention to detail, and commitment required to deliver an event of this scale.

Collectively, these contributions played a significant role in the success of the 2026 Senior Formal, highlighting the strength, generosity, and spirit of the St Brendan’s College community.
