St Brendan’s College proudly celebrates its Senior Ensemble, who have earned an A Honours result in the 2025 Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) Ensemble Performance exam.
Performing a vibrant and varied repertoire including Celtic Air and Dance, Lean On Me, Stand By Me, and Feel It Still, the ensemble was praised for its musicality, rhythmic precision, and dynamic contrast. The examiner commended the group for their “care and precision” in preparing the program and noted the ensemble’s strong balance and articulation throughout.
This level of musicianship is typically reached after five or more years of formal tuition, yet most of our students had not played an instrument prior to arriving at SBC and have been learning for just over three years. Their achievement is a remarkable testament to their dedication, teamwork, and the fast-track program offered at SBC.
With passion and precision, Ms Alyssa Priddle leads the SBC Senior Ensemble through a powerful performance.

The College’s music program continues to grow in depth and diversity, offering students opportunities to explore a wide range of genres and styles. In addition to ensemble performance, students can pursue ATAR-recognised music subjects, further enriching their academic and creative pathways.
Acting Head of Music, Ms Alyssa Priddle, supported the ensemble through their preparation, contributing to a polished and expressive performance.
The Honours result places the ensemble among the top-performing groups nationally and highlights the important role music plays in the life of the College.
