The 2025 St Brendan’s College Aussie Gold Rodeo was a resounding success, attracting record attendance and delivering an unforgettable evening of competition, entertainment, and community connection.

Held on the College grounds, the event showcased the strength and spirit of the SBC community. Despite a brief power interruption, the College’s property team responded swiftly and professionally, ensuring the night continued with minimal disruption.

DUSTY LONERGAN MEMORIAL BUCKLE

For the second consecutive year, Prue and Pat Lonergan have generously donated the Dusty Lonergan Memorial Buckle, awarded to the Best All Round Cowboy at the SBC Rodeo. This meaningful tribute honours the legacy of Dusty Lonergan and celebrates the spirit, skill, and sportsmanship of our young riders. This year, the prestigious buckle was awarded to Clayne Tarry, whose outstanding performance and dedication truly embodied the values this award represents. St Brendan’s College extends its sincere thanks to the Lonergan family for their continued support and contribution to our rodeo tradition.

OLD BOYS ATTENDING

This year’s SBC Rodeo was made even more special by the return of several Old Boys, who not only attended but also competed in the APRA-sanctioned events, showcasing their continued passion and connection to the sport. Their presence added a strong sense of tradition and pride to the evening.The Grand Entry was a standout moment, led by our students and supported by Old Boys.
